STUDIOKHANA
StudioKhana is an Egyptian, artist-run, non-profit organization. Since 2012 we developed a collaborative work method in order to achieve our long term goals by applying our knowledge and experience related to the artistic process, to elevate the quality of our projects and sustain their continuity relying only on limited funding. We organize and curate our own collective art exhibitions and projects in collaboration with Egyptian and internationally renowned artists, encouraging discussions about topics that relate to us at this day and age. We also focus on an alternative art education program that provides opportunities for emerging artists and has played a pivotal role in the career of young artists. We organize and coordinate the Students’ Council program that ends with a group show where the participants exhibit their work and engage with the art scene on a professional level. In total, StudioKhana has held eight collective exhibitions and organized four sessions of the Students’ Council year-long Program. We are not currently registered, we work as an independent collective and we are currently working to overcome this.
StudioKhana are: Iman Nabil, Huda Zikry and Amr Amr.
